Amidst all of the workings of the past few weeks -- I had to open at W@lm@rt on

Oh.
My.
God.
I have lost all faith in humanity.
I arrived at work at 4:30 am to a crowd of about 60 people.
I couldn't tell you what the tally ended up being by 5 am when we opened.
BUT... there were 21 cashiers on duty. Every register was open.
Before the doors opened we were manning our registers... to find a note on each register telling us to be "ARE" best for our customers.
...Le Sigh...
I can't tell you how many signs I see in the back of the store with misspelled sh!t on it.
I drives me completely batty.
Anyway -- we were asked to all stand at the end of our registers and when I say we looked like an army... I sh!t you not.
Then the doors were opened and the people were unleashed in our store..

Around the bend people are sprinting through the store at full speed back to the electronics section.
Some guy comes up to me with a map of the store asking me where something was.
Very soon after my first customer hit my line.
"There was a woman who got trampled over there!"
...she says.
"And yet here you are with your Wii"
...I say.
The lines were extended into the aisles all morning.
Soon we started hearing about the poor W@lm@rt employee in Long Island who was trampled TO DEATH by over 2,000 shoppers that morning.
Absolutely disgusting. I'm so glad they closed the store so those vicious a$$holes who killed that poor man didn't get what they came for.
That store lost millions that day.
On the up side -- it was the fastest shift I ever worked. Every time I turned around it was break time.
W@lm@rt also treated us to Boston Market for "lunch"... except our "lunch time" was 9 am. Who says you can't have rotisserie chicken and mac n cheese for breakfast?
Apparently they treated the workers who worked on Turkey Day as well.
I've also come to realize that being a primarily english speaking employee at W@lm@rt puts me in a SERIOUS minority. LOL
While we were eating EVERYONE around me was speaking either spanish or haitian. Luckily I can understand a lot of the spanish (though native speakers talk so damn FAST!! sheesh!)
So yeah -- if you only speak english and want to work at W@lm@rt, don't expect to have much conversation during your breaks.
Oh and let me tell you something -- DO NOT bring your damn baby to stand outside in the cold on Black Friday. If you insist on freezing your a$$ off to save $60 -- DO NOT subject your child to it!! You dumb ass.
I'm not even gonna go into the fact that it was obvious that at least 1/2 the people who were coming through my line had NO BUSINESS spending the kind of money they spent.
So -- lesson that I learned? Keep my a$$ at home on Black Friday... go out later in the day when all the electronics are gone.
I don't know about you -- but getting my family a Xmas TV with blood all over it is NOT the image of Xmas I really wanna have.
Oh and to add to THIS LIST:
If you are writing a check to pay for your order -- DO NOT fill out your check register BEFORE giving me the f#cking check. ARE YOU SERIOUSLY holding up everything for your own personal records??
GIVE. ME. THE. DAMN. CHECK.
It's bad enough it takes 2x's as long to process than any other method of payment -- must you really prolong things by making me wait for your register to be filled out? Sheesh!
Moving on...
To Eva who lost her father to cancer two days ago. I'm SO... SO... sorry. Much love to you and your family.
