Welp. Today is the day. Jess is most likely getting his first injection of testosterone - provided all of his labs come back OK.My guts are kinda twisted in a knot right now.
Anyway, I'm not sure if Jess mentioned it or not, but we are making a documentary of his transition. Yes, I know it's been done before, but never from the perspective of both the "transitioner" and their partner.
I'd also like to get some footage of our friends -- consider that a warning of an email to follow.
Today is also the anniversary of Jess proposing to me.
It's been 3 years. Can you believe it?

....to Packie! Hope you have a great day! :)
I guess that's it for me. My office is swarming with bigwigs this week. Sigh.

Hey babe. Try not to worry. You're doing so great with all of this! I'm going to do everything I can to make this as easy as possible for you from here on out. Your love and support through all of this despite your close proximity to it/me has been so incredible.
Happy Engagement Anniversary. Wow.. three years! Let's do it again soon :)
I've been thinking about you two so much lately and I wish there was something I could do to be more supportive. I guess just know that you're on my mind and I'm available if you ever need me.
I didn't know that you were documenting this and I think that's such a fantastic idea!
One more thing - I ran over and read your engagement post and it's just the sweetest thing! Mr. Goodbar, awww! Happy Anniversary!
I, too, think the documentary is a great idea!! I know it can help other people who will go through this.
Happy Anniversary on Jess' proposal. How sweet! Also, love the new look, it takes WAY less time to load!
GG
Why the hell didn't anyone tell me my blog was taking too long to load!? LOL
Ok, Darlene did but I figured she had a dinosaur computer. LOL
hi tina-cious, i've been following the tina and jess story for quite a while now. i think the documentary is a great idea. you can both write, why not a book as well?
Wow! That is one of the most romantic proposals I have ever heard of, especially the kissed the ground you walked on part! Happy Anniversary!
Hi,
This is offthespring (AKA Ari). Congrats! I didn't your SO was transgendered!! I will def. love to watch your documentary when it is done. I will most likely be changing my name soon.. and getting a significant breast reduction this year I hope.
Ari -- you should re-think the "significant breast reduction" if a reconstruction is really what you are after... talk to Jess.
He did that and regrets it now.
Good luck to you both.
Writing a book & doing a documentary are great ideas for sure.
I spoke of Riki Wilkins in my entry on Vals blog. She's done a lot of work in the Trans-gendered area & she's written 3 books I think. But since she's a M to F, it might not be info you could use. She broke down a lot of doors back in the day!
Great new layout! The only problem is I can't comment on my computer anymore because I have such an old working system, so I'll only be able to that when I get on another computer. That sucks.
I think the documentary will be great! If you ever need pic for it I would love to help you out!
